For those of you who listened to news on the way to
work in yesterday morning, you may have heard some surprising statistics
released by ASPS (American Society for Plastic Surgery). The statistics state
that there was a 71% increase in the number of chin implant surgeries
(Mentoplasty) performed from 2010 to 2011. Whoa! Even I was surprised at
that number. That is a more hefty increase than breast augmentation;
liposuction and Botox combine, according to the ASPS. Like everyone else listening to those
statistics, you’re probably wondering what the driving force is behind the 71% increase
in chin augmentations over the course one year.
Now, I am not surprised that chin implants are popular choice, as they are a true un-glorified work horse in the quest to improve
facial harmony. This procedure has been around for decades with hundreds of thousands of enriching success stories. Best of all, it’s undetectable, even to your closest friend!
Chin implant surgery is rarely thought of, often misunderstood, but immensely rewarding. The idea behind a chin implant isn’t to go in looking like Keira Knightley and come out looking like Jay Leno. People often
